Project of the week: Four Seasons Hotel Osaka
Part of a mixed-use program under construction in Japan’s economic powerhouse, the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, which will open in 2024, is the latest winner of our Project of the Week title.
Located in a 49-story tower, which will be one of Osaka’s tallest buildings, the future Four Seasons will combine the work of world-renowned designers with a five-star hotel experience.
A major redevelopment
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts works in partnership with Tokyo Tatemono and Hotel properties on the development of the One Dojima project in Osaka. This major mixed-use project, whose construction began on August 1, 2020, is expected to open in 2024 with a total area of ââapproximately 85,000 mÂ², including Brillia residences, a meeting room and a highly anticipated Four Seasons hotel. .
The development is located close to several waterways in an area known as a major trading center as it is home to Dojima Rice Exchange, the world’s leading futures exchange.
Guests staying at the new Four Seasons hotel will have easy access to the nearby Nakanoshima Arts District, where the Nakanoshima Osaka Art Museum is slated to open in early 2022.
A designer destination
This hotel is created by a team of world-renowned designers including Gwenael Nicolas de Curiousity, Shinichiro Ogata from Simplicity and Yasuhiro Koichi from Spin design studio. The entire building is the brainchild of Nikken Sekkei, with master architect Otani working on a graceful concept reminiscent of the image of a sail.
The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka promises sophisticated design and a spacious atmosphere, with 175 rooms and a host of amenities to suit luxury travelers.
Takenaka Company was commissioned to construct the iconic building.
