Hilton reveals several luxury signatures in China
Hilton and Shimao Group Holdings Ltd. signed an agreement for the launch of four luxury hotels in China: Waldorf Astoria Shenzhen, Conrad Shanghai, Conrad Wuhan and Conrad Zhuhai. When opening, the hotels will mark the entrance to the Waldorf Astoria and Conrad in all four cities, while the Conrad Shanghai will be the largest Conrad hotel in Asia to open with more than 700 rooms.
The signing of several agreements signals the two companies’ optimism over the prospects for luxury tourism in China and their commitment to extend their partnership which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, the companies report. Since signing their first hotel in 2011, the partnership has seen Hilton and Shimao Group work together to launch nine commercially successful hotels, including Hilton Wuhan Riverside and Hilton Yantai, with another Hilton hotel to open later this year.
