Bleu Jour ‘Haute Couture’ RIDG and Kubb PC at CES 2022

It’s another year and another virtual and distanced Consumer Electronics Show. While we certainly miss seeing the towering, immersive mega-cabins of the biggest players in the consumer tech industries, it’s the smaller CES players that we miss most to see in person. Concrete example: French computer manufacturer Day Blue presents an update to their 2021 Red Dot Award winning Kubb fanless mini PCs with a range of wild graphic designs, as well as a new architecturally inspired workstation for the creative ensemble.
Despite the ‘loud’ design, the powerful Bring Your Own Monitor dust mite machine is optimized to operate with a whisper rather than an audible purr.
Bleu Jour’s latest Kubb remains gem in proportions (only 12 x 12 x 12cm), but now powered by your choice in 11th generation Intel Core processors (i3, i5, i7 options), with up to 64GB 2400 MHz DDR4 memory, and fast M.2 NVMe SSD. The aluminum case design has been a mainstay of the French company – the PC equivalent of the Mac mini – and they have continued to update specs while giving the machines unique and eye-catching exterior treatments (our favorite: the Pantone chip machine).
The French PC maker also unveiled a new workstation tower design intended to serve power users – creatives, graphic designers, architects, CAM / CAD specialists – with an expressive architectural case designed by the designer of furniture and design. contemporary lighting, Pierre Cabrera.
The futuristic angular silhouette of the “sleek and refined” RIDG workstation is on display in the Eureka Park market of the Venetian Expo Center, the first step for the French company and its plans to enter the North American market by offering “the creations, technology and informed users of the game ”, according to Jean-Christophe Agobert, CEO of Bleu Jour.
RIDG is previewed in five finishes – chrome, aluminum, graphite, brown, and a most unusual blue flocked case – again, the styling work of designer Pierre Cabrera, with hardware specifications still to be determined.
