All the beauty details of the Dior SS23 show in Paris
When it comes to catwalk beauty, it’s often the little details that have the most impact. Such was the case during the Dior SS23 show in Paris overnight, where Christian Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director Peter Philips created a clever liner look, where the inside corners crossed to create a very small cross.

The look – which almost has to be seen to be believed – is a testament to Philip’s meticulous attention to detail…not to mention his incredibly steady hand. The heavy liner has become synonymous with Dior runways (the Haute Couture FW21/22 runway saw the finest navy wing, worn on the lower lash line instead of above). But this iteration — a thick line on the upper and lower lash line that extended into a wing on the outer corner and intersected at the inner corner — was incredibly special. Philips has established itself as an icon of luxury beauty due to its unparalleled technical skill and precision, so it’s no surprise that this is the product of its collaboration with Maria Grazia Chiuri for SS23.
Because the eyes were the center of attention, the skin was clean, the eyebrows strong but natural, and the lips bare but hydrated.
The hair varied from model to model, but overall it was relatively simple, shiny and shiny. A standout style was pigtails, worn low and loose and wrapped in hair for a polished finish.
